Our Biography
The Champagne et Villages collection
is the brainchild of Françoise et Paul Couvreur.
It was a
project born from the love they have of their region; it is now a
reality which comes from a deep understanding of Champagne, the
growers and the uniqueness of the various terroirs.
Paul is a
fifth generation Champenois with family ties that range from
viticulture to vintner as well as the prestigious Champagne Houses,
and he spent 23 years working for two of those major Champagne
houses.
During that time, he was a member of the board of the
"Union des Maisons de Champagne" as well as member of the
board of the "Commission d'Information du C.I.V.C.", and in
1984 served as the president of the Champagne Academy.
Paul and
Françoise decided to create a company that would enable them
to fulfill their long cherished dream of working with small producers
and the terroir they know so well. Champagne is not only a house
style. It is a terroir driven jewel, replete with unique
identity. The husband and wife team is a brilliant combination
with marvellously complementary points of view.
